At Paradise Pet Resort, we believe every dog deserves a loving home. That’s why we proudly partner with Love’s Legacy Rescue, providing free boarding for their rescue dogs until they can be placed into foster homes or adopted. In 2024 alone, we donated over $40,000 in boarding services to 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescues, giving countless dogs a safe and comfortable place to stay while they wait for their forever families.

Our Commitment to Rescue Dogs

Many rescue dogs come from difficult backgrounds, and transitioning into a new home can take time. Through our partnership with Love’s Legacy Rescue, we ensure these dogs receive a secure, enriching environment where they can decompress, socialize, and prepare for adoption. Whether they need a few days or several weeks of care, we provide them with the attention and support they need.

Supporting the Community Beyond Our Facility

Our dedication to animal welfare goes beyond boarding. We actively support adoption events and local animal rescue initiatives:

• Sponsoring Adopt-a-Thons – We regularly sponsor and participate in adoption events to help rescue dogs find their forever homes.
• Partnering with the Rohnert Park Animal Shelter – We contribute to and take part in local shelter events, promoting pet adoption and responsible pet ownership.
• Disaster Relief Efforts – Most recently, we organized a donation drive to support the displaced animals and victims of the LA fires, collecting essential supplies and funds to aid those affected.

Assisting LA Shelters During the Wildfires

The recent wildfires in Los Angeles have overwhelmed local shelters, leading to an urgent need for space to accommodate displaced and lost pets. To address this crisis, we have extended our support by:

• Providing Temporary Boarding for Rescued Strays – By boarding euthanasia-listed strays pulled from LA shelters, we help create space for pets displaced by the fires, ensuring they have a safe place to stay until they can be reunited with their families or placed into foster care.
• Facilitating Foster Placements – We work closely with Love’s Legacy Rescue to find foster homes for these rescued dogs, enabling shelters to manage the influx of animals during such emergencies.
